Tanning the skin is a practice that most people enjoy doing. When people go to beach, they may lie exposed to the sun to get a good tan. Others may also buy tanning lotions that are in various beauty parlors. Despite the various dangers associated with sun self tanning, people are still staying exposed in sun rays without SPF protection to have tanned skin.



Too much exposure to UV rays can be very disastrous to any individual. A person can end up developing different kinds of conditions and skin cancers like melanoma, which may not be treatable. In addition self skin tanning can lead to one damaging their immune system such that it is not functioning, as it should. An individual should do their research with respect to self tanning solutions before deciding to do it.

Most self tan options are not permanent therefore; the tan is bound to disappear after a short time. This may lead to a person sunbathing very often so that they can have the appearance they desire. Some may even go to great lengths by exposing themselves to sun rays for a longtime without any SPF protection. This will cause great damage to the person in future.



Self skin tanning poses a great danger to an individual. A person who does this is likely to age faster. In addition, premature wrinkles also start to appear in various parts of the body. The skin also begins to appear dry and rough due to exposure to harsh sun rays.

Too much exposure to sunlight can lead to one having sunburns. This condition can be very painful especially if it is severe. It leads to reddening of the skin and one has to remain indoors so that they can recover quickly from the condition. This may take a while however, if they may want to go out, they have to wear a hat to avoid self exposure to sun rays, which can worsen the condition.

Individuals have a certain skin color, which suits them best. Self skin tanning can lead to one losing the color of their skin and instead of being brown; it becomes red owing to exposure to the sun. It may be very difficult for one to find a way of regaining back their original skin color.

Several people have sensitive skin and are required not to expose themselves to too much sunlight for a long time. Some of this people do not follow the instructions of the doctor and they end up tanning their skin in sun rays due to their desire for beauty. They may thus develop serious blisters that can be very painful and take a long time to get well.

The desire for people to have beautiful brown skin has led them to turn to sun self tanning. Although one wants to be beautiful, they also have to evaluate it at what cost and make an informed decision. Self skin tanning can make the skin look good but one also has to be ready to face the consequences.
