Having a good tan is really great and it improves the appearance of an individual especially when they go to the beach. There are various options a person has with regards to having a tanned skin. One can have a sun self tan or sunless self tan. Each option has different advantages and disadvantages associated with it. Several people prefer the sun self tan due to the many benefits associated with it and some people still have some reservations with regards to it.



Each customer seeks to get a good service or commodity at the lowest possible price. The better option for most clients would therefore be to sunbath considering it is free to do so and a person will still achieve a tan. Using of sprays and various types of lotions to achieve a tanned skin can be very disadvantageous especially for someone on a budget.

When an individual is exposed to sun rays during self tan process melanin is produced by the skin. Melanin is the one that is responsible for making the skin darker. This therefore is a much effective way of having glowing skin. Some of the sprays for tanning people use contain dangerous chemicals which can cause great damage to the skin. It is better for one to use the sun to get a tan.



Vitamin D is very important in the body since it enables the bones to form well. Lack of this essential vitamin can lead to a person having rickets which may not be treatable. As someone is letting their skin to self tan, they can also get vitamin D which is essential in their bodies.

The sunless tan lotions that people may consider using are not very effective in achieving a tan. This is because one has to apply them for a while before they can notice any change. This means that one has to spend a lot of money buying large quantities of these lotions so that they can use them for a long period of time. This can be quite expensive especially for a person who is on a budget. This type of self tan is however much more effective and is not costly.

Exposure to sun rays is necessary but one should know that too much of everything is poisonous. For sun self tan to be effective, one has to be in the sun for a period of ten minutes each day without sunscreen. This can be quite dangerous since one can be exposed to the ultra violet rays which can lead to one having their skin seriously damaged.

Each person desires to have a glowing skin that makes them look younger. People are however bound to get wrinkles as they grow old. When one is exposed to sun rays for long periods of time, the skin can be damaged leading to ageing of the skin and one developing wrinkles faster than they should. An individual may end up looking very old and they are really not too old.

The advantages of sun self tan are quite many. It is the responsibility of the user to determine if a sun self tan is suitable for them. Advice from a doctor may be crucial before someone can settle on any method of skin self tan.
